description: Este trabalho justapõe arte, natureza e tecnologia, por meio de uma simulação podemos observar o crescimento de uma árvore digital, um ipê, que diariamente se desenvolve e completa seu ciclo de vida, “nasce” em 12 horas e “morre” em 12 horas. A cada dia temos o surgimento de uma árvore generativa com características singulares, quando atinge seu ápice de crescimento, involui em sentido de desaparecimento completo. A escolha da árvore de Ipê (Tabebuia alba) simbolicamente neste trabalho se dá pelo o fato dessa espécie ser uma das árvores mais cultivadas e conhecidas do Brasil e é amplamente encontrada na vegetação urbana brasiliense. Sua floração pode sofrer variações devido aos fenômenos climáticos, sendo considerada ameaçada de extinção.

Through a simulation we can observe the growth of a digital tree, an ipê, which daily develops and completes its life cycle, “born” in 12 hours and “dies” in 12 hours. Every day we have the emergence of a generative tree with unique characteristics, when it reaches its peak of growth, it involutes towards complete disappearance. The choice of the Ipê tree (Tabebuia alba) symbolically in this work is due to the fact that this species is one of the most cultivated and known trees in Brazil and is widely found in the urban vegetation of Brasilia. Its flowering can vary due to weather phenomena, being considered threatened with extinction.
